Download Outskertz Mixtape Volume 3

Imagine a group with the stage presence of Run DMC, mic control of KRS-ONE, story telling ability of late The Notorious B.I.G., creativity of Outkast and the wit of Eminem but twisted with a style and look never seen before. Now imagine no longer. A new breed in the west coast has been discovered. Welcome to The Outskertz!
…Somewhere in the inner streets of Los Angeles, club goers gather at one of the premier LA underground hip-hop spots…As the Outskertz are called to the stage, the fragile people in the front few rows recognize that this may be the time to head to the back with the folks that just like to listen and watch the show out of harms way…it’s going to get ugly!
The tall freckle-faced redheaded fella that towered over the crowd all night takes the stage and checks two microphones. Someone new to this type of event might appear puzzled as to what the white kid is doing on stage…but NOT in this town. The entire LA underground fan base recognizes the “samurai” that has been the cause of many a rapper’s reputation being sliced and diced. He has won local emcee battles week after week for the last few years defeating every single competitor he has ever faced. Instantly the crowd begins to shout out “Seefor!!!” With a big grin on his face and a quick nod to show his respect, Seefor breaks into verse drawing attention and eye contact from every soul in the crowd and ending any conversation that was taking place at the moment. Pausing between every punch line, Seefor lets the crowd react as he feels them out, making sure they don’t miss a single detail of his story. As soon as he finishes, the crowd erupts and the DJ drops a banging beat they’ve never heard before. As heads get to bobbing and hands get to waving in the sky, the DJ cuts …”it-it-it-It’s BrgrTyme!” From the back of the lobby, where he has quietly been hanging out all night, the other 50% of the Outskertz appears. He is instantly transformed from the quiet, shy giant into a ferocious force of havoc the minute he sets foot on stage. It is as if this were the movie Gremlins and he was fed after midnight. Any form of shyness has totally disappeared as the crowd’s attention is not sought after but more-or-less demanded and received. It is apparent that the emcee known as Brgr has taken the form of his alias, the “Juggernaut” as the beat to his self-titled anthem “BrgrTyme” blasts through the speakers. Any first-time viewer of the Outskertz may be terrified as Brgr shreds the stage apart. His powerful voice carries beyond the club walls until the three minute duration of the song is finished. Then the monstrous giant’s childlike smile comforts the crowd as he gives the front row dap while they continue to chant, “it’s BrgrTyme!”
“Incase you haven’t figured it out by now, I go by the name of Seefor and this is my partner in crime BrgrTyme…better yet known as the dynamic duo referred to as The Outskertz. Since it appears everybody has made it through the warm up safely…we can officially get this party started!”
Where most hip-hop shows consist of rappers feeding their egos all night, the Outskertz show continues turning a presentation into more of a conversation. It’s as if they are talking to the crowd instead of barking at them. Their interaction with each other and the crowd is very entertaining and comforting allowing the artists and the crowd to feed off of each other’s energy and making the crowd an active part of the show. Without dragging on or lacking any emotion, the Outskertz end the show with a bang, not quite filling your belly all the way and leaving you desperately begging for one last bight.

The Outskertz have opened for many artists including: KRS-1, Xzibit, E-40, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, Wu-Tang Clan, Linkin Park, Shine, Black Rob and many more. They have owned the emcee battle scene in southern California with Seefor winning the Vibe/Blaze magazine battle @ the House of Blues in 2000. With the assembly of there live performance unit, The Outskertz are able to perform with a wide variety of Genres including hip-hop, rock and R&B which are all fused in The Outskertz music. The west coast has been awaiting the arrival of an artist to reemerge California back into the elite force it once was. With the emergence of The Outskertz, the wait will soon be over.
